Q8 Air Suspension Failure, One Side Sagging

My Q8 is sagging on one side and the suspension feels really rough. The air suspension warning light just popped up on the dash. The car wont lift anymore when I try to adjust the ride height. Running a 2022 model with 156095km on the clock. Could this be the air suspension bellows valve going bad? Has anyone dealt with this and can share their repair costs? Last shop visit for a different issue was pretty sketchy so looking for recommendations on where to get this fixed properly.

Had similar symptoms on my 2019 Audi A7. The suspension system failure started exactly like yours, uneven ride height and complete loss of level adjustment capability. The air suspension warning came after hitting a deep pothole. Diagnostic scan revealed a faulty air suspension valve block, which also caused an air leak in one of the bellows. The issue was more complex than initially thought, as the shock absorber on that corner was also damaged from running with improper pressure. The complete repair required: Replacing the valve block assembly, Installing new air suspension bellows, Replacing one shock absorber, Full system calibration This was definitely a serious issue requiring immediate attention. Continuing to drive with failing air suspension components risks damaging other suspension parts and creates unsafe driving conditions. Worth noting that these systems are quite complex, the issue often starts with one component but can quickly affect others if not addressed promptly. The repair should be handled by a shop with specific experience in air suspension systems.

Thanks for sharing your A7 experience. I had a nearly identical pneumatic suspension issue with my Q8 last winter when the front passenger side suddenly dropped. The symptoms match exactly what you described. Before taking it to the shop, I would love to know what the final repair cost was in your case? Also, has everything been working properly since the fix or have you noticed any other suspension-related problems? Just want to make sure I budget correctly and go in prepared since the air spring system repairs can get quite expensive from what I have heard.

Since getting my A7 fixed, the air suspension has been working flawlessly. The repair focused on the faulty air suspension bellows valve, which ended up costing 590 Euro including parts and labor. The initial diagnosis proved accurate, and fortunately, no additional suspension components needed replacement. The ride height adjustment now works perfectly, and the pneumatic suspension maintains proper leveling on all corners. No warning lights or suspension issues have occurred in the months following the repair. The smooth, even ride quality has been completely restored. This repair cost was actually lower than expected since only the valve needed replacement rather than multiple suspension components. Getting it fixed promptly likely prevented damage to other parts of the air suspension system.

Thanks for the input. Finally got my Q8 fixed last week. After reading about the similar A7 case, I went ahead and took it to a certified shop specializing in air suspension repairs. The diagnostic revealed a failed air suspension valve and a minor air leak in the system. Because I caught it early, the shock absorbers and other components were still in good shape. Total repair came to 780 Euro including: New valve block, Air leak repair, System recalibration, Labor costs The ride height is now perfectly level and the suspension system works like new again. No more warning lights or rough ride. Really glad I addressed this quickly before it caused damage to other parts. Pro tip for others: Get these suspension issues checked out immediately when you notice uneven ride height or warning lights. The repair costs only get higher if you keep driving with a failing system.
