Qashqai Oxygen Sensor Error

My 2023 Nissan Qashqai hybrid is showing some errors. The check engine light is on, there's an error stored, and fuel consumption seems higher. I suspect it's the oxygen sensor heater. Could a defective cable or plug really cause all this?

Qashqai owner here too. Oxygen sensor issues are a pain, aren't they? Higher fuel consumption and the check engine light...sounds familiar. I'm curious, have you checked the air-fuel ratio? Is it running lean or rich?

I haven't checked the air-fuel ratio specifically. Is that something I can easily test myself, or does it require special equipment? If the cable or plug is the problem, could that also affect the air-fuel readings?

It definitely can! A faulty connection messes with the sensor readings, which throws off the air-fuel mixture. Look, I went through something similar. Honestly, after checking the basics, I just took mine to a workshop. Saved myself a lot of hassle. They diagnosed a bad connection in no time.

Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it. I had it checked at the workshop, and you were right – faulty connection. Cost me 95€, but at least it's fixed.
