Quest check engine light air valve
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Nissan Quest had a persistent check engine light issue, suspected to be related to an air valve. The problem was potentially linked to a defective hose connection from the pump to the valve, causing manifold pressure issues. The recommended solution was to replace the hose, confirmed by a smoke test at a workshop. After replacing the defective hose, the check engine light issue was resolved.

No stalling yet, but I am worried. No recent work on the vacuum hoses themselves. Is there a way to know if it's the hose before I spend a lot of money?

The symptoms point to a potential air valve issue, possibly caused by a defective hose. Replacing them is a common solution. Consider visiting a workshop for diagnosis. A smoke test will confirm leaks.

Thanks a lot for your help and advice! I took it to the shop. You were right, it was a defective hose connection from the pump to the valve. I had it replaced, and the check engine light is gone! Total cost was 175€, which isn't bad. I'm glad it wasn't worse.

Possible. The check engine light illuminates for numerous reasons. Is the engine stalling? Any recent work on the vacuum hoses?
