R Klasse Air Conditioning Problem
Summary of the thread
The 2005 Mercedes R Klasse is experiencing an air conditioning issue, with an error related to the rear ventilation flap affecting the automatic climate control. A possible cause could be a bad connection to the rear ventilation flap motor, which might impact rear passenger air circulation. It is suggested to check the cable and plug connection near the rear climate control unit, but professional diagnostics at a workshop are recommended to accurately identify and resolve the issue.

Thanks for the tip! Where's that connection located? Can I easily check it myself, or do I need to take things apart?

It's near the rear climate control unit. You might be able to get to it, but I'd recommend a workshop for system diagnostics. My problem was a defective plug connection. The part isn't expensive, but finding the issue can be hard. Better safe than sorry. The repair and error memory deletion cost me 95€.

Okay, that sounds like good advice. I'll take it to a shop and have them check the connections first. Hopefully that fixes it. Thanks for the help!

Interesting. I had a similar issue with my R Klasse. The rear AC stopped working, and it was a bad connection. Have you checked the cable and plug connection to the rear ventilation flap motor? That's often the problem.
