Ractis Auxiliary Heater Error

Hey, I've got a 2010 Toyota Ractis with a gasoline engine and an auxiliary heater that's playing up. It won't activate, and the system's throwing an error. I'm thinking it might be the glow plug, but I'm not sure where to start. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra. The parking heater refused to start, same as you. Is the ventilation system working, I mean, is the air blowing?

Yeah, the ventilation system seems to be working fine; the blower is definitely pushing air. So, if it's not the ventilation, what was the issue with your Opel?

Turns out, it WAS the glow plug, just like you suspected. It's like a tiny fuse that blows and takes down the whole operation. Although the ventilation worked and the air was blowing it just wouldn't heat. Honestly, I'd get it checked at a workshop just to be sure.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the shop, and you were spot on – it was the glow plug. Cost me around 440€ to get it fixed, but at least it's sorted. I really appreciate the help!
