Thank you for your input. I haven't checked those yet. Where exactly is the oxygen sensor located? And could a faulty oxygen sensor really cause all those symptoms?

O2 sensor is usually on the exhaust manifold, before or after the catalytic converter. And yeah, a bad one can mess with the fuel/air mix, causing all sorts of problems. Given all the symptoms, and if it's not the easy stuff, you might want to get it checked by a workshop.

I appreciate the advice. The workshop confirmed a defective injector; repair cost is 515€. Thank you.

Sounds like a rich running issue alright. Have you checked the easy stuff first? Like the air filter, intake manifold, or spark plugs? Could even be an oxygen sensor giving bad readings or a clogged catalytic converter. Any codes being thrown?
