Ractis IAT sensor fault

My 2014 Toyota Ractis, gasoline engine, is throwing a check engine light. Mileage is at 69975 km. Getting reduced engine power and rough running. Diagnostic tool points to a faulty intake air temperature sensor. Error memory confirms it. IAT sensor seems the likely culprit. Anyone else seen this?

Had similar symptoms on my old Renault Megane, though the diagnostic code wasn't immediately obvious. Car diagnostics pointed to unusual temperature reading. Have you checked the wiring to the IAT sensor? Sometimes it's just a loose connection.

Wiring appears intact on visual inspection. Temperature reading seems off even when the engine is cold. Was your Megane showing similar behavior before you identified the root cause?

Yeah, temperature reading was all over the place, especially at startup. Turned out the sensor itself was faulty. Replaced it and the issue vanished. If you're confident in your diagnostics, might be time to bite the bullet. Best to get it checked at a workshop to be sure.

Thanks for the confirmation. Replaced the IAT sensor; cost me 155€. Problem solved.
