Radar sensor error on Countryman

My 2018 Mini Countryman diesel is throwing up a radar sensor error. The speedometer displays the error message, there's a fault code stored, and several systems are failing, along with a warning light. I suspect it might be a dirty sensor. Has anyone experienced something similar with their automotive sensors or safety systems? This electronic issue is impacting adaptive cruise and other driving assistance features, so any insight would be appreciated.

I had a similar issue with my Mini Countryman a while back. The adaptive cruise control stopped working, and I got a warning light on the dash. Have you checked the sensor itself for any obvious damage or obstructions?

When you say 'checked the sensor', what exactly did you do? Is it something I can easily access and inspect myself, or does it require special tools or knowledge?

I didn't do anything myself, I just booked it into the workshop. From what I remember, the sensor is located behind the front bumper. It's probably best to leave it to the professionals unless you know what you're doing. They'll be able to diagnose the issue properly and recalibrate the system if needed.

I thought I'd update this thread in case anyone else has a similar issue with their Countryman. Turns out it was indeed the radar sensor, just covered in grime and road salt after the winter. A quick clean and recalibration at the workshop, and it's all working as expected. Total cost was 45€, a lot better than a new sensor! Thanks for the advice.
