Rain Light Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Toyota SupraIV owner experienced a rain-light sensor fault, resulting in the loss of automatic wiping, headlight control, and speedometer dimming. The issue was suspected to be caused by bubbles forming under the gel pad of the windshield, likely due to a heat wave. The problem was confirmed and resolved at a workshop for a cost of 62€.

Yeah, it was after a heat wave. It's pretty constant now. Nothing else electrical that I've noticed yet. You think it's the gel pad thing then?

Sounds very familiar. Mine was the gel pad for sure. Others have said the same. Honestly, I'd just get it checked. Don't mess with the sensor yourself.

Cheers. Got it to the workshop; it was exactly that. Invoice for 62€, all in.

Dude, I had something similar on my SupraIV! Was driving me nuts. Did it start happening after a really hot day or a sudden temp change? Is it intermittent, or constant? Any other weird electrical stuff going on?
