Thanks for sharing your experience. I had identical symptoms with my 2014 Dodge Ram, complete parking assist failure with dead ultrasonic sensors. The control module diagnostics showed similar issues. Did you track the total repair cost? My dealer quoted 890€ for parts and labor but I found a specialized shop that did it for less. Have you noticed any other electrical gremlins since the repair? My blind spot sensors occasionally throw false alerts now, wondering if theres a connection to the faulty wiring we both experienced.

After getting it fixed at a specialized shop last week, my parking assist system is working perfectly again. The obstacle detection system, including all proximity sensors, now functions as intended. They found the issue was much simpler than initially suspected, just a damaged cable connection near the control module that was causing the parking sensors to fail. The total cost came to 95€, which included fixing the faulty wiring and testing all sensors. Way better than the dealer quote. Since the repair, the system has been reliable with no false alerts from the blind spot monitoring. Regular testing shows all ultrasonic sensors are properly calibrated. The technician mentioned these issues are common with our trucks due to the wiring placement. If anyone else faces similar problems, definitely worth checking the connections first before replacing the entire control module.

Just came back from getting it fixed, turned out to be exactly what you described. Found a specialized shop that really knew their stuff with radar sensors and parking assist systems. The mechanic immediately identified the corroded wiring harness near the control module. Total repair came to 680€, which included fixing the faulty wiring, testing all parking sensors, and recalibrating the rearview camera system. Much better than the 890€ dealer quote. The whole job took about 4 hours, but they did a thorough check of all connections and weatherproofing. Since the repair, everything works perfectly, no more error codes or system failures. The parking assist, blind spot monitoring, and rearview camera all function like new. Really glad I asked here first and avoided unnecessary parts replacement. Definitely recommend getting a second opinion from a shop that specializes in electronic systems.

Had the same issue on a 2015 Ram 2500 Diesel. The control module for the parking assist system completely shut down, affecting both the ultrasonic sensors and rearview camera. Turned out the main wiring harness connection to the control module was corroded and needed replacement. The repair involved removing the rear bumper to access the connection points, cleaning the terminals, and installing a new wiring harness with updated weatherproofing. Not a quick fix, but essential since the system is a critical safety feature. The blind spot sensors were also impacted as they run through the same module. Worth checking the connections first, water intrusion near the rear bumper is common on these trucks and can cause similar symptoms. This was a serious repair requiring specialized diagnostic equipment to properly reset and calibrate the system after the fix. The parking sensors needed individual testing after the repair to ensure proper functionality. If you notice intermittent function before complete failure, its likely the same wiring issue rather than sensor failure.
