Ranger Electrical Issue

I've got a 2018 Ford Ranger diesel with 237424 km. I'm facing a strange electrical issue. Terminal 30 continuous plus is interrupted, and the vehicle starts poorly. I suspect a discharged or defective battery. Has anyone seen this before? Could it be the fuse box or a circuit breaker?

I had something similar happen with my Ranger. Same symptoms. Check for a voltage drop across your ignition switch. Could also be a dodgy wiring harness. Have you checked those?

Thanks for the tip! Where exactly should I be looking for the voltage drop? And how would I test the wiring harness? I don't have much experience with electrical diagnostics beyond basic stuff.

It's a pain. I'd suggest getting it to a workshop if you're not comfy with electrics, it could be a nightmare to trace. I went down that rabbit hole with mine, thought it was the same thing, and there were corroded pins in one of the ECUs. Best to be sure!

Thanks. I took it to a local workshop, and you were right, tracing the wiring harness was a mess. Ended up being a deeper issue within the electrical system, a defective cable. Repair cost me 290€. All sorted.
