Summary of the thread
A 2020 Ford Ranger diesel exhibited a fault code at 47188 km, with an error message on the infotainment system and a flashing speedometer. Diagnostics suggested a potential coding misconfiguration. A similar issue was resolved by recoding the relevant modules at a workshop, which fixed the problem.

When you say 'similar,' are we talking about the exact same error messages and the car generally feeling off? Did you ever pinpoint the culprit, or did you just throw parts at it until the gremlins disappeared?

The error messages were nearly identical, and the general feel was definitely "off". I spent ages on it. I'd recommend taking it to a reliable workshop. They can check the coding.

Appreciate the advice! I've booked it in with a trusted mechanic. Turns out, the coding was indeed incorrect. They've recoded the relevant modules. Total damage: 360€.

I had something similar on my Ranger, though it was a while back. OBD-II scanner kept showing a malfunction indicator, even after I reset the codes. Could be a dodgy module, but check the simple stuff first.
