Ranger Injection Issue

Thanks for the quick response. I appreciate the suggestion about fuel injector cleaner additives, but I'm not sure they'll address the issue. Regarding misfire codes, yes. Intermittent misfires have been detected across multiple cylinders, reinforcing my suspicion of a faulty injection nozzle. Could you elaborate on your situation and the eventual resolution?

Yeah, the misfires pretty much confirm it. I tried the cleaner route too, but it was just a temporary band-aid. The problem kept coming back. Ended up having the injectors professionally cleaned and tested. A couple were definitely past their prime. My advice? Save yourself the headache and get them checked out by a reputable workshop. It's likely the best course of action.

Thanks for your insights and experiences. Your confirmation of a similar issue and the necessity of professional intervention has solidified my resolve. I'll engage a qualified workshop for diagnostics and, if needed, injector replacement.

Hey there. I've got a Ranger too, though not sure about the year, and your issues sound familiar. Rough start, guzzling gas, and that shaky idle drove me nuts! Have you tried any fuel injector cleaner additives? Might be worth a shot before a full replacement. Are you noticing any particular misfire codes?
