Ranger Turn Signal Error
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Ford Ranger is experiencing a persistent turn signal error, with a constant error message on the speedometer and a fault in the lighting, despite the bulbs appearing fine. The issue began after off-roading, suggesting a possible dodgy cable or plug connection. Cleaning the connector is suggested as a potential solution, but if the problem persists, it may require professional diagnosis and repair, as it could involve replacing the connector assembly.

It started acting up after a brutal off-road trail last weekend. Is it worth yanking apart the connector and cleaning it, or am I looking at a more involved fix?

Cleaning the connector is worth a shot, can't hurt. But if it's happening after off-roading, the connector might be damaged internally. I had the same symptoms and cleaning didn't solve it. I ended up taking it to a workshop and they replaced the whole assembly.

Looks like I'll bite the bullet and get it checked out. Workshop diagnosed a faulty connector as predicted, 95€ repair.

I have a Ranger too, and that sounds familiar. Did the error pop up after any specific event, like heavy rain or a bumpy road? Sometimes the connectors are more sensitive than they should be.
