Ranger Turn Signal Error

My 2019 Ford Ranger with a gasoline engine has a persistent turn signal issue. Error stored, constant error message on the speedometer, and a fault in the lighting. Bulbs seem fine, and wiggled some wires, but no luck. Could it be a dodgy cable or plug connection?

I have a Ranger too, and that sounds familiar. Did the error pop up after any specific event, like heavy rain or a bumpy road? Sometimes the connectors are more sensitive than they should be.

It started acting up after a brutal off-road trail last weekend. Is it worth yanking apart the connector and cleaning it, or am I looking at a more involved fix?

Cleaning the connector is worth a shot, can't hurt. But if it's happening after off-roading, the connector might be damaged internally. I had the same symptoms and cleaning didn't solve it. I ended up taking it to a workshop and they replaced the whole assembly.

Looks like I'll bite the bullet and get it checked out. Workshop diagnosed a faulty connector as predicted, 95€ repair.
