RAV4 additional battery alarm issue
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Toyota RAV4 owner is experiencing issues with the additional battery alarm system, which is not functioning and has stored an error in the memory. The problem is suspected to be related to the aging battery, as the error code indicates low voltage. A similar issue was resolved by replacing the auxiliary battery, suggesting that a battery check and potential replacement might be necessary.

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't done a battery check yet, but the error code does point towards low voltage. I was hoping it was something simple. Is that what you experienced?

Yep, sounds like what happened to me. My alarm system was completely dead, and it turned out to be the auxiliary battery. I ended up taking it to a workshop, and they confirmed it. Cost me around 330€ to get sorted.

Appreciate the info! Sounds like a trip to the workshop is in order. I'll get the battery checked and probably replaced. Thanks again!

I had a similar issue with my RAV4 a while back. Was the 'error' specifically related to low battery voltage, or something else? Did you try a battery check?
