RAV4 audio system failure

Alright RAV4 crew, I'm pulling my hair out here. My 2020 Toyota RAV4 (gasoline engine) is driving me nuts. The audio system completely died on me around 168968 km. No sound whatsoever. I've checked the obvious stuff like the fuses, tried fiddling with the auxiliary input and Bluetooth settings, but nothing. I even tried turning the volume up just in case! It's like the whole thing is dead. Could it be a defective bass speaker? Anyone else experience this?

Hey, I had a similar issue in my RAV4. Not sure what year mine is, but it's also a Toyota. My sound would cut in and out, then eventually just stopped working altogether. Did you notice any sound distortion or crackling before it went completely silent?

Yeah, actually, now that you mention it, there was some weird crackling and popping in the speakers for a while before it completely gave up the ghost. Mostly from the bass, I think. Did you ever figure out what was causing the issue in your RAV4?

Sounds like the exact same problem I had. In my case, it was a blown speaker. I wouldn't waste too much time trying to fix it yourself unless you really know what you're doing. I took mine to a local workshop, and they sorted it out. Cost around 280€ including parts and labor.

Thanks for the info! I was hoping it wouldn't come to that, but it sounds like a workshop is the way to go. Guess I'll bite the bullet and get it checked out. Hopefully, it's just a speaker and nothing more serious. I'll post what the shop finds!
