Brake fluid seems normal. No noises either, which is odd. Could it be related to the hybrid system somehow? I've heard stories about undervoltage issues causing weird things in these cars.

It could absolutely be undervoltage. It's a known issue. Metal brakes tend to be more sensitive. Honestly, just get it checked by a workshop. My disc brakes caused similar feedback before I had it looked at.

Thanks, I appreciate that! I had it checked and you were right, it was an undervoltage issue that caused my worn out brake shoes! Cost me 240€ but at least the brakes are fixed now.

I had something similar happen on my RAV4. Have you checked your brake fluid levels recently, or noticed any unusual noises when braking? I'm thinking maybe air in the hydraulic brakes.
