Cheers for the reply! Yeah, the diagnostics pointed straight at the rollover sensor. That's the one throwing the error. You reckon that's the same gremlin you had?

Right then, I concur! Upon closer inspection of my records, the technician noted that my issue stemmed from a defective rollover sensor which is intimately intertwined with the airbag control module's overall functionality. Given the symptoms that you have described, namely the persistent illumination of the airbag warning lamp and the stored error code pertaining to the rollover sensor malfunction, and based upon my analogous experience, it is my considered opinion that the affected control unit is indeed defective and in need of immediate replacement. I would suggest a qualified workshop visits.

Spot on! Took it to the shop, and you nailed it – control unit kaput. New one set me back a grand 1000€, but at least the light's gone. Massive thanks for the heads-up!

That sounds frustrating! I've got a RAV4 myself. I had a similar issue pop up a while back with the airbag warning light constantly illuminated. After running diagnostics with an OBD-II scanner and clearing the error codes (which promptly returned), it became clear that the issue might stem from a defective sensor. Did your diagnostics specify any particular sensor? Was it the tilt sensor, airbag sensor, or another component entirely?
