RAV4 Solar Sensor Faulty Connection

I've got a 2012 Toyota RAV4, electric engine, with about 165k km on the clock. Recently, I've been getting an error stored in the error memory, and the heating output seems too low. I scanned it and it points to a fault with the solar sensor. I've checked the basic stuff, like fuses, but I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered this before?

Summary of the thread

A 2012 Toyota RAV4 owner experienced low heating output and an error related to the solar sensor. The diagnostic tool indicated a possible faulty cable or plug connection. Another RAV4 owner confirmed a similar issue, suggesting professional repair due to the complexity of electrical work. The problem was resolved at a local workshop, confirming a faulty connection as the cause.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

I also own a RAV4. A similar thing happened to me. Does your diagnostic tool indicate a possible defective cable or plug connection?

Yes, the diagnostic tool suggests a defective cable or plug connection for the solar sensor. Did you manage to fix yours, and if so, what exactly did you do?

I confirm, the diagnosis was pointing to the solar sensor wiring. Given the complexity, I decided to visit my local workshop, as I don't have the appropriate tools to perform electric work.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to my local shop and they confirmed it was indeed a faulty connection. 95€ later, it's all sorted. Cheers!
