RC Central Locking Failure

Hey, hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I've got a 2017 Lexus RC with a gasoline engine, and the central locking has completely stopped working. No response from the key fob, and the door won't lock or unlock manually either. I plugged in my OBD2 scanner and there's an error code related to the security system in the error memory. I've checked the fuses and they all seem fine. Anyone else run into something similar?

I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra. The remote locking just died. Turns out the issue was in the wiring harness where it connects to the door control module. Have you checked the connection to the module?

Interesting, thanks for the tip! Where exactly is that module located? And how involved is it to check the wiring?

On the Astra, it was inside the door. You had to remove the door panel to access it. Check the plug connection and the cable itself. I am not familiar with your car. I'd recommend taking it to a workshop if you're not comfortable doing that.

Thanks for the info! Took it to the shop as suggested and you were spot on! Turned out to be a defective plug connection. Repair cost me 95€. Cheers!
