Thanks for the reply! The error code is pretty specific, it's definitely the charge air temperature sensor. I'm just wondering if you remember any more details about your issue? Was it exactly the same symptoms, and did the error code match? Any insights would be super helpful before I start tearing things apart.

Yes, the symptoms you describe and the error code are exactly the same as I experienced. Given that the sensor is showing an error, and you are experiencing performance issues, I would advise against self-repair and recommend visiting a qualified workshop. As with a leaky faucet, sometimes it is best to call a plumber. The repair itself should not be too costly, as it may be that you have a defective cable or plug connection of the component. I hope this is helpful.

Thanks so much for confirming! Knowing someone else had the same issue makes me feel a lot better. I took your advice and brought it into the shop. Turns out it was indeed a faulty connection to the charge air temperature sensor, just like we suspected. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted. Appreciate the help!

I also own a Lexus RC and I am sorry to read about the issues you have. This sounds awfully similar to a problem I encountered some time ago. It's like when you have a kink in a garden hose, and the water flow is restricted, causing a strange noise and less water coming out. Does the error code point specifically to which sensor is acting up?
