RC Gear Shift Indicator Failure

The display is indeed completely lifeless, utterly devoid of illumination or any indication of gear selection. As for the fuses, I inspected them with meticulous care, yet found no evidence of any breaches in their integrity. Could this point definitively to a more insidious cause, such as the control unit malfunction?

Sounds like the control unit is the most likely culprit then, given the symptoms and your thorough fuse check. I’d recommend taking it to a reputable workshop for a proper diagnosis. They’ll be able to confirm the issue and give you an accurate quote.

Your insights proved invaluable! The workshop concurred – a defective control unit was indeed the root of the gear shift indicator malady. A replacement, costing 1000€, restored the Lexus to its former glory. I extend my sincerest gratitude for your assistance in navigating this automotive electronics ordeal!

I had a similar problem with my RC. Not sure about the year or the engine, but the symptoms sound familiar. Is the display completely dead, or is it showing incorrect information? Did you check the fuses?
