RC heavy steering and vibration
Summary of the thread
The issue with the 2020 Lexus RC hybrid involved heavy steering and significant vibration through the steering wheel, with a related error code pointing to the steering angle sensor. The problem was affecting the traction control system as well. The suggested solution was to replace the faulty steering angle sensor and perform necessary coding, which resolved the issue and restored normal steering and traction control functionality.

Interesting! Was it a straight sensor replacement, or did they have to do some kind of recalibration or coding afterwards? And did it also mess with your traction control?

Yeah, it was definitely the angle sensor causing the issue. I took it to a workshop, and they replaced it and did the necessary coding. The traction control was definitely affected before, but it cleared up after the sensor was sorted. Best to get it checked out properly.

Thanks for the info! I took it to my local shop, and you were spot on. New steering angle sensor and a quick coding session later, and it's back to normal. Cost me 195€, but well worth it to have the steering back. Appreciate the help!

I had something similar happen on my RC. Increased steering effort and weird vibrations. I would check the steering angle sensor, that was the culprit for me.
