Thanks! When you had those faults, were there any other issues? What do you mean by "test the sensor", and how did you eventually resolve the issue with your vehicle? I'm trying to understand the scope of the diagnostics.

The only other issue I experienced was a slightly erratic fuel gauge reading, though it wasn't consistently off. By 'testing the sensor' I mean a complete sensor diagnostic procedure with professional measuring instruments – I don't have the expertise. Given the similarities between our situations, I would strongly recommend having a qualified mechanic diagnose the sensor and fuel pump. It might be worth a visit to the workshop.

Your advice was very helpful. An authorized repair shop confirmed that the fuel level sensor was indeed defective, and they replaced it. The final repair cost 52€. I'm glad that I have fixed the car!

I don't have experience with the Lexus RC specifically, but I had similar symptoms in my 2014 Opel Insignia diesel a few years ago: check engine light, occasional stalling, and a fuel-related error code. In my case, it was a faulty fuel level sensor. Did you test the sensor?
