RC Lighting Fault

My 2020 Lexus RC with a gasoline engine is giving me grief. The lights are acting possessed. I'm getting a fault in the lighting – tail lights flickering, dashboard lights dimming at random. Sometimes they just switch on for no reason at all! I even hooked it up to a diagnostic tool, and it's throwing an error code related to the light switch. I suspect it could be a bad cable or plug connection somewhere in the system, but I'm not sure where to even begin looking. Has anyone else wrestled with this electrical gremlin?

I had a similar issue with my RC. Check the dimmer switch. Maybe that's the culprit.

Interesting! You had the same random lighting issues? Did the dimmer switch replacement completely solve it for you, or was there anything else involved?

Yeah, almost the exact same symptoms. I didn't fix it myself though. I brought it to a workshop to avoid messing something else up.

Thanks! I appreciate the insight. Ended up taking it to the workshop and they found a faulty connection at the light switch. Total cost was 95€, including parts and labor. I should have listened earlier!
