RC Sun Blind Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Lexus RC hybrid owner reported an issue with the sun blind not retracting or extending properly, accompanied by an error message. The problem was identified as a non-functioning motor. It was suggested to have the issue addressed by a professional workshop rather than attempting a DIY fix. The owner followed this advice, had the motor replaced, and resolved the issue.

It doesn't make any noise at all. Completely dead. Is it worth trying to fix it myself?

When mine went, it was the motor. Not worth the hassle of DIY unless you are really confident. Just take it to a decent workshop.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a local place and it was indeed the motor. They quoted 330€, which I thought was fair. All sorted now!

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my RC. Is the sunblind completely jammed, or does it make a noise like it's trying to move?
