Summary of the thread
A 2015 Lexus RC is experiencing severe transmission issues, including unresponsive paddle shifters, slipping gears, grinding noises, and limp mode activation, accompanied by multiple error codes. These symptoms suggest a potential problem with the transmission control unit. A similar case confirmed that a defective control unit was the cause, leading to a workshop diagnosis and repair.

Yeah, that's exactly it, possessed! Did yours throw any codes related to the transmission at all? And did it just happen suddenly like this? Really need to know if yours was the same!

Yep, codes galore pointed straight to the transmission. It was pretty sudden too. One day it was fine, the next it felt like the transmission was about to eject itself. I had to take it to my workshop to confirm the fault. They suspected the control unit right away.

Thanks a ton! Took it to the workshop, diagnosis confirmed: faulty transmission control unit. Quoted 1000€ for the repair. Biting the bullet and getting it fixed. Thanks again for the heads-up!

Dude, I feel your pain! I had almost the same exact thing happen in my RC. The transmission was acting possessed, shifting all crazy, especially with the paddles. Sounds like a defective control unit might be spot on. Were you getting any specific error codes?
