RCZ Air Suspension Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Peugeot RCZ diesel is experiencing an air suspension fault, causing the car to lean to one side and produce a bumpy ride. The issue is suspected to be a defective suspension air bag valve, with error messages indicating a problem with the air suspension. A similar case with an Audi A6 suggested that a leaky air strut could be the cause, especially if the compressor runs excessively. It is advised to have the system inspected by a professional to confirm the issue and prevent further damage.

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't noticed any hissing, but the compressor does seem to run quite a bit longer than usual. Was it definitely the air strut on your Audi, or could it have been something else in the system?

Well, initially, I thought it could be just a hose or a sensor, but after a thorough inspection, the workshop confirmed it was the air strut itself that was leaking. Given your symptoms and the compressor running overtime, it's very likely a leak in the air suspension system. I'd recommend getting it checked by a professional as soon as possible before it causes further damage. I ended up paying quite a bit to sort it out, so don't delay!

Okay, I appreciate the advice. I'll get it to a workshop. They've quoted me 590€ for a bellows valve replacement, so hopefully, that fixes it. Thanks again for your help!

Sounds frustrating! I had a similar suspension issue with my old Audi A6. The symptoms were almost identical - the leaning, the error message, and the terrible ride quality. In my case, it turned out to be a leaky air strut. Have you checked for any hissing sounds around the suspension when the car tries to adjust its height? Also, does the compressor seem to be running excessively?
