Could you elaborate on the specific sensor involved in your Volvo and any diagnostic steps you took to pinpoint the issue? I'm trying to confirm whether a defective cable or plug connection to the fuel pressure sensor is the root cause, or if the sensor itself needs replacing.

The shop told me it was a fuel pressure sensor issue and they suspected wiring first. I'm no mechanic, so I didn't do any diagnostics myself beyond noticing the problem! If your diagnostics are pointing to a connection issue, definitely check those wires and plugs carefully. But honestly, with those symptoms, I'd suggest getting it looked at by a professional workshop. It's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to fuel system problems. Could be something simple, but it could also be more complex.

Following your suggestion, I consulted a qualified technician. The issue was indeed a defective connection to the fuel pressure sensor. The repair, replacing the faulty connector, cost 95€. The engine now operates smoothly. Thanks again for your time and assistance.

Sounds frustrating! I had something similar with my old Volvo V70, though not exactly the same symptoms. The check engine light was on, and it felt like it was struggling to get fuel sometimes, especially when accelerating. Turned out to be a dodgy sensor in the fuel delivery system. Have you checked the wiring and connectors to the fuel pump? Sometimes a loose connection can cause weird issues.
