RCZ Engine Stalling at Idle
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Peugeot RCZ with a gasoline engine is experiencing stalling at idle, accompanied by a check engine light and an error code. The issue is identified as a rough idle, likely caused by a faulty idle air control valve and a heavily contaminated intake. The recommended solution is to have the valve replaced at a workshop, which resolved the problem for another owner at a cost of around 425€.

Yeah, that's exactly it! Really rough idle, like it's struggling. How did you fix it? Was it expensive?

Well, I tried cleaning the intake myself, but it didn't really solve the problem. Turns out it was heavily contaminated. I ended up taking it to a workshop. They replaced the valve. Cost me around 425€ if I remember correctly. Best to get it checked out.

Thanks for the info! Sounds like I'm headed to the workshop then. Turns out it WAS the idle air control valve, just like you said. Intake was indeed heavily contaminated. Got it fixed for 425€.

Hey, I had something like that happen with my RCZ. Is the idle really rough, almost like it wants to die? It could be the idle control valve.
