RCZ exhaust temperature sensor fault
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Peugeot RCZ diesel with 272,728 km is experiencing a check engine light, power loss, and increased fuel consumption. The issue is suspected to be related to the exhaust temperature sensor, possibly due to an exhaust system leak. After confirming the fault code, it was determined that the sensor was indeed faulty due to a small leak. Replacing the sensor resolved the issues, restoring power and improving fuel efficiency.

Yeah, it's showing a fault with the exhaust temperature sensor. Was it a pain to fix? Did you notice a big difference after getting it sorted?

Okay, with that error code, it's almost definitely the exhaust sensor. I'd say get it checked at a workshop. They'll be able to confirm if it's a leak or just the sensor itself. It made a huge difference once it was fixed, power was back and fuel was way better.

Cheers for the advice! Took it to the shop, and you were spot on. It was a faulty exhaust temperature sensor thanks to a small leak. Got it sorted for 265€ and the car is running like a dream again. Really appreciate the help!

I had something similar with my RCZ. Is it throwing any specific error codes? Mine was the exhaust sensor too, and those symptoms sound familiar.
