RCZ Parking Aid Failure

Parking aid system failed on my 2010 Peugeot RCZ gasoline with 243163 km. The dashboard displays 'Parking assistant without function', and the error memory confirms this. Could it be a defective cable or plug connection? Has anyone else encountered this? I'm dreading a faulty control module, wiring, rearview camera, blind spot sensors, or radar sensors. I hope it's not too expensive.

Hey! I had a similar problem with my RCZ not too long ago. Were your parking sensors constant beeping, or just completely dead? Did you check the sensors themselves for damage or dirt?

It's completely dead; no beeping, just the error message. The sensors appear clean and undamaged. Could it still be a sensor issue, even without beeping?

Mine was making a racket before failing. Since yours is totally dead, and you've checked the sensors, it might be deeper than just a dirty sensor. I ended up taking mine to a workshop. They found a broken wire in the bumper harness. Best to have them check it properly.

I feared as much. A workshop visit it is. They quoted me around 95€, so hopefully, it's just a cable. At least I know where to start looking now, and it's not going to break the bank. I'll post the solution once it's fixed!
