RCZ Rail Pressure Sensor Fault

Thanks for the reply! Yes, the error code definitely said 'Rail pressure sensor signal faulty'. Did replacing the sensor fix the issue on your Alfa Romeo, or was there more to it?

Replacing the sensor fixed it for me, but I would advise you to get it checked out by a workshop. The fuel system operates at high pressure and can be dangerous if not handled properly. A defective sensor is indeed a likely cause, but a professional will be able to confirm that, and replace it correctly.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a workshop, and you were right – it was the rail pressure sensor. They replaced it, and the total cost was 240€. The car is running perfectly now!

I had similar symptoms on my old Alfa Romeo. The engine management system uses the rail pressure sensor to monitor the fuel pressure in the fuel rail (that's the part that distributes fuel to the injectors). If the sensor is faulty, it can send incorrect readings, leading to the issues you're describing. Was the error code specifically pointing to the sensor?
