RCZ Stalling After Fueling
Summary of the thread
The 2015 Peugeot RCZ was experiencing stalling issues, particularly after refueling, with the check engine light on. The suspected cause was a problem with the fuel tank ventilation system, possibly a leak. A similar issue in another vehicle was traced to a defective activated charcoal filter, which was disrupting the fuel tank ventilation. The solution involved replacing the charcoal filter, which resolved the stalling problem.

Yeah, it's definitely worse after filling up! The stalling is pretty consistent then. I haven't noticed any hissing, but I'll definitely pay closer attention next time. What exactly was the problem with your 308, and what did you end up doing to fix it?

Turned out to be a defective activated charcoal filter. It was causing some kind of system failure in the fuel tank ventilation, messing with the air flow. If it's the same for you, it's not a fun DIY job. I'd take it to a workshop and get them to check the emission control system. Could be worth it to get the peace of mind.

Thanks a bunch for the insight! I took it to the shop, and you were spot on – it was the charcoal filter! Cost me 275€ to replace, but at least the RCZ is running smoothly again. Appreciate the help!

Sounds frustrating. I had a similar issue with my Peugeot 308 a while back. Check engine light, rough idle... Drove me nuts. Does it happen mostly after filling the tank? Have you noticed any hissing sounds around the fuel cap when you open it?
