RCZ Weak Battery
Summary of the thread
The RCZ is experiencing weak battery symptoms, including weak engine cranking and flickering lights, at 271,000 km. The suspected cause is a faulty battery sensor, as the alternator appears to be functioning correctly. A similar issue in another vehicle was resolved by addressing a faulty sensor causing a parasitic draw. The problem was confirmed to be the battery sensor, which was fixed for 315€.

The voltage drops significantly overnight. The alternator seems fine. Is the sensor the only thing left?

Based on what you've checked, it does sound like the sensor. Honestly, with electrical problems like this, I'd suggest a workshop diagnosis before throwing parts at it. I went through that with the Volvo, and it cost me a fortune.

Confirmed, it was the battery sensor. 315€ fixed it. Thanks for the advice.

I had similar issues with my old Volvo V70. It turned out to be a faulty sensor causing a parasitic draw. Have you checked the battery voltage when the car is off? Maybe test the alternator output too?
