RCZ Windshield Washer Heater Problem
Summary of the thread
The main issue is a malfunctioning windshield washer heater on a 2012 Peugeot RCZ diesel, leading to frozen spray nozzles in cold weather despite using winter fluid. The problem could be due to a faulty resistance element, loose connections, or damaged wires. Suggested solutions include checking the wiring and connections around the washer nozzles for corrosion or damage, and if unresolved, seeking professional repair assistance.

Thanks. The washer motor works. I haven't checked the cable and plug yet. Where are they located, and what should I look for?

Okay, motor's running, good. The heater and wiring are usually part of the washer nozzles, so check around there under the hood. Look for corrosion, loose connections, or damaged wires. Tracing electrical faults can be a pain. If you're not comfortable testing, a workshop might be best. They should fix it for 95€.

Thanks for the explanation. I'll check the connections. If not, I'll go to a workshop. That repair cost is fine. Thanks for your help.

Sounds frustrating, especially in winter. It's usually a simple circuit; the heater is probably just a resistance element, like a tiny kettle. Is the washer motor still working? If that's dead too, it could be a fuse or a bigger electrical issue. Did you check the cable and plug?
