Rear Ventilation Flap Issue

I own a 2003 Ford F with a gasoline engine, mileage is at 52163 km. I'm experiencing issues with the rear ventilation flap. The error is stored in the error memory, and the climate control unit is malfunctioning. Consequently, the air conditioning is no longer cooling. Has anyone experienced something similar?

I had a similar problem with my Ford F, though I haven't checked the error memory. The AC wasn't cooling in the back. Have you checked the cable and plug connections to the rear ventilation flap? That was my issue last summer.

Thank you for your input. Where exactly are the cable and plug connections located? Are they easily accessible, or is disassembly required?

On my vehicle, the connections were behind the rear passenger side panel. You might need to remove some trim to get to them. Honestly, I just took it to the workshop. The official estimate was 95€, and they fixed it quickly.

Thank you. I appreciate the advice. I will schedule a visit to the workshop. Seems like the defective cable or plug connection is the most likely cause, as you indicated. The repair cost you mentioned also gives me a good benchmark.
