Renault Arkana 2023 Headlight Cleaning System Issue: Possible Connection to Rear Window Wiper Fluid Pump Signal Error

Hey folks! I've got a 2023 Renault Arkana, Gasoline type with 154,650 km on the clock, and I've run into a snag. My headlight cleaning system has gone kaput out of the blue. I've got a hunch that it might have something to do with a rear window wiper fluid pump signal error. Anybody had a similar issue? How'd you get it fixed and how was your mechanic visit? Cheers!

Summary of the thread

A 2023 Renault Arkana owner is experiencing a malfunction with the headlight cleaning system and suspects it may be linked to a rear window wiper fluid pump signal error. A similar issue was resolved in another Renault model by addressing loose cable connections and a faulty relay. The suggested solutions include checking for cable connection problems or relay defects, which could potentially resolve the headlight cleaning system issue.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Hey! Oh, yeah, been there, done that with my 2021 Renault Kadjar - pretty similar situation. My headlights were giving me trouble too. After poking around a bit, I figured there was a problem with the pump cable connections. Took the beast into the garage, they checked it out and it turned out that the cable connecting to the pump was loose. Apparently, my relay was dodgy too. Both issues were fixed. Wasn't really a serious deal or anything. The technician just replaced the faulty relay and sorted out the cable connection to the pump, and voila, it was back to business. So, your hunch about the rear window wiper fluid pump signal error might not be off, there could be some cable connection problems or relay defects. Hope that helps! Good luck getting it sorted.

Hey there! Seems like I'm not the lonely soul having a go with my Renault. Had a somewhat similar experience with my 2022 Arkana. However, it was a busted sensor that they replaced rather than a cable issue. Just curious, how much were you out of pocket for sorting the cable and relay stuff? I'm just wondering if there were any other gremlins that popped up since then. Cheers again for the advice!

Hey! Good to hear you've sorted yours out too. About the costs, fixing the Cable and Relay ghost we had lurking in the machine didn't cost an arm and a leg. Shelled out about 165€ for the whole thing. Fair, considering the job they did. As about your second question, you won't believe it but we indeed had another round with that pesky rear window wiper fluid pump signal error. But, you know what they say, third time's the charm! Took it back to the mechanic and bingo, it was fixed. And touch wood, since then, everything's been hunky-dory. Hope that answers your questions. Good luck with your 2022 Arkana! Have a good one.

Hey, thanks a bunch both of you for the useful insights! Your experiences definitely shed some light on what I can expect. Yeah, seems like a visit to the mechanic is in order for my ole Arkana. I'm getting a bit better idea of the cost involved too. Fingers crossed that it's a minor cable or sensor issue like yours. Or at worst a relay but hey, nothing that can't be fixed, right? Just hoping not to face round after round of that rear window wiper fluid pump signal error like you did! Let's hope it's a one-time affair for me. Anyway, I'll drop in and let you guys know how it goes. Thanks again for the help, you guys rock! Now, let's get this sorted. Off to the mechanic, wish me luck! Cheers.
