Renault Master emergency call malfunction

I've got a 2016 Renault Master with a diesel engine. The emergency call system has malfunctioned. I get an error message in the speedometer, a warning light, and the error is stored in the error memory. I suspect it's a defective cable or plug connection.

That sounds familiar. I have a Master too. Had a similar problem with the SOS signal a while back. Was anything done on the car recently, like a radio replacement or windscreen replacement? Sometimes that is enough to dislodge a cable.

No, nothing like that has been done recently. Do you remember any more details about your issue? Was it exactly the same symptoms?

Yeah, same symptoms. The error light, the message... drove me nuts. Couldn't figure it out myself. Ended up taking it to a workshop. They ran diagnostics and found a dodgy connection. Sorted it out pretty quick, like fixing a loose wire on a lamp.

Thanks for the info! I took it to a workshop as you suggested. Turns out it was a defective plug connection, like they suspected. Cost 95€ to fix.
