Renault Master engine running lean
Summary of the thread
The 2021 Renault Master diesel is experiencing symptoms of running lean, including reduced power, a check engine light, and rough engine performance, particularly during acceleration. Initial checks for vacuum leaks and throttle body cleaning did not resolve the issue. A faulty injector was suspected and later confirmed by a workshop, leading to the necessary repair.

Thanks for the quick reply. Spark plugs wouldn't be the issue as this is a diesel engine. Could you elaborate on what the intake manifold issue was in your case? Was it a leak or something else?

Ah, sorry, missed that it was diesel. In my case, it turned out to be the injectors. I didn't have the tools to diagnose it properly myself, so I took it to a workshop, and they confirmed the defective injection valve/injector. Best get it checked before you start replacing things.

Thanks a lot for the confirmation. Based on your experience, I took it to a local workshop, and they confirmed that the injection valve was indeed defective. The repair cost was 515€ Appreciate the help!

I had similar symptoms with my Renault Master, though I can't recall the exact year. Have you checked your spark plugs? They could be causing the issue, or maybe there is an issue with the intake manifold?
