Renault Master Engine Stalling After Fuel Filter Change

Thanks for the quick reply! It only stalls when it's warm, and it starts okay most of the time, maybe a little hesitant sometimes. How can I check the fuel pressure regulator myself? Or is that something I should leave to a professional?

Given the warm-stall issue, the fuel pressure regulator is a prime suspect. Think of it like a tap that's sticking when it gets hot. While you could theoretically test it with a gauge, it's fiddly and requires some experience. Since it happened after the filter change and you're not super familiar with fuel systems, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. They can properly diagnose it and replace the regulator if needed.

Thanks a lot for the advice! I took it to a local mechanic, and you were spot on. It was the fuel pressure regulator. Apparently, there was an error code logged after I changed the fuel filter. They replaced it for 45€, and the van is running perfectly again. Really appreciate the help!

Sounds like a classic case of a fuel pressure issue after a filter change. Could be a faulty fuel pressure regulator, especially if air got into the system. Does it struggle to start sometimes, or does it only happen when warm? A pressure drop could also point to a failing fuel pump, but let's start with the regulator. Did you make sure the new filter was properly seated?
