Renault Master excessive fuel consumption
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Renault Master diesel exhibited excessive fuel consumption and reluctant starting, particularly in cold conditions. The initial suspicion was a defective throttle valve, but it was suggested that the throttle position sensor might be faulty, affecting the fuel mixture and starting. Upon professional diagnosis, the issue was confirmed to be a defective accelerator pedal module, which was replaced, resolving the problem.

Interesting. Where is this sensor located, and is it a straightforward replacement? I wouldn't call myself an expert.

On my engine, it was near the throttle body. If you're seeing higher fuel consumption and starting issues, it's best to have a workshop take a look. They can properly diagnose it.

Thank you for the advice! You were spot on; the workshop confirmed that the accelerator pedal module was defective, and the repair set me back 205€. Now it is running like a charm again.

I had similar symptoms with my Master. Have you checked the throttle position sensor? That could be faulty and affect the fuel mixture and starting.
