Renault Master Oil Pressure Warning

Contamination, huh? How would I know if the oil is contaminated? I haven't checked it for that. And the oil filter... I can't remember exactly when it was changed. Maybe it's been a while. What kind of contamination are we talking about?

Well, mine was sludgy, thick, and darker than usual. If it looks or feels different, that's a sign. Given the oil pressure light, and if you can't remember the last filter change, it really points to that. I’d say it’s best to get it checked at a workshop before things get worse. Ignoring it could mean major engine damage, and that's a whole different level of expensive.

Thanks for the advice! You were right, I took it to a workshop, and the engine oil was contaminated because I exceeded the maintenance interval. They changed the oil and filter. The oil pressure light is now off and the final repair cost was 165€. I'll definitely keep a closer eye on the service schedule from now on!

Sounds familiar. I've got a Renault Master too. I had a similar issue. Did you check your oil for any contamination? It might be worth looking into. Also, when was the last time you changed your oil filter?
