Renault Master steering issue

The stability program light hasn't come on, which is odd. I haven't gotten around to checking the connections myself just yet, but could a simple sensor replacement solve this, or are we potentially talking about something deeper?

While a sensor replacement might seem straightforward, bear in mind that steering angle sensors are integral to the electronic stability control system. A faulty sensor can indeed cause the symptoms you've described. Based on the mileage and symptoms, and considering that the stability light isn't on, it would be prudent to take it to a workshop, so the coding can be checked before replacing the sensor. Expect a repair cost around 195€ with the sensor replacement and wheel alignment.

Thanks a bunch for the insight! You were spot on – took it to a workshop, and it turned out to be the steering angle sensor coding. After a quick re-code, it's steering like a dream again. Sensor replacement and wheel alignment did the trick!

Increased steering effort and vibrations in your 2017 Renault Master could indeed point to a steering angle sensor issue. Has the electronic stability program warning light illuminated? Before jumping to conclusions about faulty coding, have you checked the sensor's physical connections and wiring for any signs of damage or corrosion?
