Yes, the check engine light did activate. What did you do to fix it? Did you try to reset the computer, or did you have to replace any parts related to the exhaust system?

I understand your concern. In my situation, the workshop confirmed that the incomplete readiness check was a consequence of the OBD2 diagnostics. It was indicated that if this does not go away on its own it will disappear after some drive cycles or a computer reset might be needed.

Thanks for the info! Turns out, after a few drive cycles the error disappeared. I didn't even need a computer reset. The repair shop confirmed that the issue was indeed due to the OBD2 read, and there was no charge.

I also own a Renault Symbol, though a slightly newer model. I experienced something similar after a car diagnostics check. In my case, the check engine indicator went on. The car seemed to drive normally, but the error code was unsettling. Did your indicator also activate?
