Renault Trafic 2019 Diesel wing mirror defroster not working: looking for advice and mechanic recommendations
(Translated from German)
Summary of the thread
The wing mirror defroster on a Renault Trafic 2019 Diesel is not working, potentially due to a defect in the mirror or its heater. A similar issue was resolved in a Renault Megane by repairing a faulty cable connection/plug. It is advised to have the problem checked at a workshop, as it could be a straightforward fix once the fault is identified.

Hey, thanks for your feedback! It's good to know that this also occurred with your Renault and could be solved. Do you happen to remember what you had to pay for it and has anything else come up in the meantime? Thanks in advance!

Hey, no problem! So, after I went to see the mechanic, they fixed the wing mirror or wing mirror heater fault. It turned out that the cable connection/plug was actually defective. This cost me a total of €155. So not cheap, but since then I've had no more problems with the wing mirror, it works perfectly. I hope this helps you and you have better luck with your mechanic than I did back then! ٩( 'ω' )و

Hey, that's actually helpful to know! 155 is not exactly cheap, but if the problem is fixed afterwards, it's probably worth it. Thanks for your help, I'm a bit more reassured now and will probably have it checked out at the garage soon. Keep your fingers crossed that the repair goes smoothly! Thanks again and have a nice day!╰(*°▽°*)╯

Hey, I actually had a similar problem with my Renault Megane 2016 (89432 km). In my case it was a fault with the cable connection/plug. It was a bit of a pain in the garage because they had to check a few other things first before they found the actual fault. So there's no need to panic, but you should have it sorted out at the workshop. The wing mirror doesn't de-ice - it could be really annoying, especially in the cold season. In my case, it was solved pretty much immediately after they found and repaired the faulty cable connection. Just stay calm and have it checked in a workshop.
