Renault Wind active air flap fault

I've got a 2013 Renault Wind, gasoline engine, with about 91867 km on the clock. Recently, the check engine light popped on, and I've noticed the engine's running hotter than usual – borderline overheating, I'd say. Ran a scan and it's flagging an active air flap fault. From what I can gather, the electromechanism is probably defective. Anyone else run into this?

Sounds familiar. Had a similar headache with my old BMW 3 series – different car, same sort of problem. Check engine light, overheating... turned out to be a busted flap motor in the cooling system. Is the air intake working properly?

Air intake seems okay at a glance, but I haven't dug too deep. You think it's definitely the flap motor? Any way to test that without pulling everything apart?

On my BMW, the flap was visibly stuck, and the motor was making a weird buzzing noise when the car started. Honestly, unless you're really comfortable with diagnostics, it's probably best to get it checked at a workshop. I wouldn't want to risk doing more damage by guessing.

Appreciate the insight. Figured as much. Booked it in for a diagnostic. Turns out it's exactly as we suspected - the active air flap electromechanism is shot. Quoted 590€ for the repair. Thanks for the help.
