Thanks for the info. Interesting that you had a similar issue on a Megane. I haven't gone through each unit individually yet - that sounds like a proper headache. I was hoping it might be a common issue with a known weak point before I start down that rabbit hole. Any chance you can elaborate on how you pinpointed the faulty unit?

Given the complexity and diagnostic requirements associated with the MOST bus, a DIY approach can be challenging. I attempted some preliminary checks myself, but without access to specialized diagnostic equipment compatible with the Renault communication protocols, I found it difficult to isolate the problematic unit definitively. I'd recommend taking it to a reputable workshop that specializes in automotive electronics. If the error is confirmed they will be able to replace or repair the unit efficiently.

Appreciate the advice. I was fearing that might be the case. I'll book it into a workshop with experience in car electronics and fiber optics. I'm expecting around 1000€ for the job. Thanks again!

I had a similar problem with my Renault Megane, although a slightly older model. The symptoms you describe match my experience exactly: no sound from the audio system and the navigation system failing to initialize. In my case, the diagnostics also pointed to a fault within the MOST (Media Oriented Systems Transport) bus. Did you have to check the control units individually to find the culprit?
