Renault Wind automatic transmission implausible shifting
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Renault Wind with an automatic transmission is experiencing implausible shifting, with the transmission light intermittently activating and the vehicle sometimes entering emergency mode. The issue may be linked to a previous undervoltage event, such as a flat battery, which can disrupt transmission performance. The suggested solution involves visiting a workshop for a transmission oil change and a system reset, which successfully resolved the problem.

Undervoltage? Interesting! I did have a flat battery once. Could that really cause these transmission problems? How did you fix it?

Yes, I'm pretty sure undervoltage can cause these symptoms. I'd take it to a workshop. They can check the oil and transmission performance.

Thanks! A workshop visit was the answer. You were right: the undervoltage messed things up, causing the transmission issues. An oil change and system reset fixed it! The bill was around 240€. Thanks again for the help!

I also own a Wind and had similar issues a while ago. Was there undervoltage in your car at any time?
