Renault Wind EGR Valve Issue
Summary of the thread
The 2013 Renault Wind is experiencing reduced engine power, check engine light activation, smoke upon acceleration, rough running, increased fuel consumption, jerking, and a loud hissing sound. These symptoms suggest a defective EGR valve. It is recommended to have the EGR valve inspected and repaired at a workshop, as similar issues have been resolved by addressing this component.

Yes, the idle is quite rough. I have not had an emissions test done recently. Do you suspect a jammed EGR valve?

That was indeed the problem I encountered. It's best to have the EGR valve checked at a workshop. In my experience, the symptoms point directly to that component.

Thank you for the confirmation. I suspected as much. I will bring the car to a workshop to have it inspected and repaired. The EGR valve was indeed defective, repair cost was 355€.

I had similar symptoms in my Wind. Is the rough idle very noticeable, and have you had an emissions test recently? High vehicle emissions often points to EGR issues.
